4/08/08 UPDATE: Precious's availability for adoption is on hold indefinitely. It was discovered that Precious had a degenerated disc in her back and on 4/3/08 she slipped and blew it out - she was in excruciating pain and could not move her back legs. She had surgery on 4/4/08 to remove the disc. Thankfully, she is recuperating well but she must be in a contained area for 6-8 weeks and hopefully she will regain the use of her back legs. Precious's medical expenses are now over $3000 so any donation on her behalf will be greatly appreciated. She is being a very good patient and is as precious as her name.
UPDATE 4/4/08: PRECIOUS HAD BACK SURGERY THIS AFTERNOON, AT LOUISVILLE, KY. LATEST REPORT SHE CAME THROUGH SURGERY GREAT AND WAS DOING OK.

UPDATE: 4/3/08 Precious was at the Animal ER Hospital tonight. She must have slipped from in the rain when she went out to potty and her little back went out. More info will follow when test results are back.
This little 8-pound-black-and-white-bundle-of-wagging-tail came to us on New Year's Eve - a very appropriate time to begin a new life! We were told she is 10 yrs. old but you wouldn't know it by the way she runs around and plays. Precious is very sweet and gets along well with dogs and cats. Her foster mom said she blended in from the moment she arrived. She loves people and never met a lap she didn't like! She has had a few accidents in the house but will go outside to potty with the rest of the dogs. Precious does not seem to have any behavior issues but CANNOT be crated because she will bark continually until she is let out. She had her dental and had to have 10 teeth removed but she can still eat kibble. All in all, she is a delightful, happy little girl with lots of love to give.
