CHARLENE
FEMALE
6 YR OLD
CHARLENE HAS SERIOUS
EMOTIONAL ISSUES.
Charlene is a very sweet
little girl who has spent most
of a puppy mill.  We don't
know what happened to her
speaks volumes.  Charlene
is morbidly afraid of men and
has an extremely hard time
trusting anyone. You can see
her desire to be close and
cuddled but the minute she
thinks you are coming
toward her she runs. Her
foster mom is working very
slowly with her to overcome
her fear of humans.  We are
hopeful Charlene will be able
to break through that wall of
fear and know what it's like
to be a loved and happy little

spayed and up to date on shots.
She is a larger blk/white Shih Tzu.

SCOOTER
MALE SHIH TZU
AGE: 8 YR
WT:  23 LBS
ADOPTION FEE: $200

Scooter would do best in a quite home with a female.  He
gets along with calm dogs and cats.

Scooter has come along way since he was first with
Bluegrass Shih Tzu Rescue.  He first came to our rescue in
February 2007 from a puppymill.  He had been abused by a
man.   After 8 months in rescue and with some rehabilitation,
he was adopted by a wonderful lady in Louisville.  He spent
the next two years with her spending his days taking walks
around her patio community getting treats from her
neighbors and slowing learning to trust people again.
Sadly, Scooter's adoptive mom developed some health
issues and passed away in January 2010.  Scooter found
himself back in foster care again.  He was happy to see his
foster family again but does miss his mom.  Scooter is now
looking for another adoptive home.

ISABELLE
AGE 7 YR
MALTESE
ADOPTION FEE: $250
FOSTERED IN GA.
Isabelle MUST go to a home with another small dog & also someone home most of the time.
There is no sweeter little girl than Isabelle. It will take a little time for Isabelle to adjust to her
new home due to her shyness and mistrust for people, but when you do earn her trust, she
loves to lie next to you and be loved on. Isabelle grieves when she is not with at least one
other little dog, so no home will be considered without a playmate for little Isabelle.  Isabelle
is working hard on her bathroom habits and would do best in a home where someone is
home most of the time to take her outside on a regular schedule. One look in her beautiful
big eyes, and you will fall in love and want to be patient in giving this little treasure the loving
home she deserves.

If you have other questions, you can contact Isabelle’s foster mom at gaylon723@yahoo.com

DOUBLE YOUR FUN
WITH MATTIE & JUNEY
Age: 2 yr
Males
Adoption Fee: $250 Each or $500 pair

The boys

While reading this hum the tune to the Dukes of Hazard, "Just a good
ole boys..." Now you are ready to hear the story of Mattie & Juney.
When they first came to live with us my husband affectionatly called
them the bachelors.  They were two wild men ready to be tamed. Mattie
& Juney are 2 year old litter mates who came out of Eastern KY. Their
family moved and could not take them. For a couple of weeks they were
left alone in the house with someone coming in every day to feed them.
The boys have quickly adapted to life on the city. They get along well
with their foster siblings, finding the cats to be most fascinating.
Like Bo and Luke Duke, on occasion the boys will have sibling spats.
The boys are becoming socialized with strangers. Of the two, Mattie is
better adjusted and confident. Juney is making strides in gaining
confidence, he tends to be a little dependent on his brother. Mattie
is the little guy with the dark face and Juney has white around his
nose.  Mattie is housebroken and eager to learn basic obedience. Juney
is 95% of the way toward being potty trained, he occasionally has
accidents. These are great boys that would make a welcome addition to
any family. Separate adoptions are possible.

GRACIE
FEMALE
CHIHUAHUA MIX
4 YR OLD
Hi, my name is Gracie and I am a female, 4 year old, 10 pound, Chihuahua mix. Foster Mom
thinks I may have Pom in me because I curl my tail way up around my back. She keeps
asking me what I am, but I am not telling, I am going to keep her guessing.
My old owners took me to the dog pound because they are having a baby. I think that is a
pretty poor reason to get rid of me but my foster Mom says we will find a great, loving,
forever home, so I will not be dumped at the pound again.
I was a very scared and confused little girl at the pound, too much going on for a little girl
like myself. I had been in my old home since I was a puppy, then all of a sudden I was in this
big, scary, cold place with so many other dogs, who were much bigger than me. A nice gal
at the pound called Bluegrass to see if they could take me, because I was so afraid there,
they could not put me up for adoption. The first 10 days I was there no one at the pound
could come near me because I would just scream and scream out of fear. Now that I am at
my foster home I am doing much better. I will follow foster Mom around and she takes me
outside, and while I lay in the sun she spends time brushing and petting me. Although I like
it here with foster Mom, I really want my forever home. If you are interested in me or have
any questions, you can email my foster Mom at mylilluvboo@yahoo.com.
