Little Sweet Penny is a little doll, that needs your help.
Penny is not ready for adoption.
As we were riding on our way to the vet today, I was watching Penny enjoying looking at the big trucks as they would pass. When arriving at the vet's, everyone immentaly fell in love with her. Dressed in her pink sweater and a dashing new collar & matching lead Penny quickly became the hit of the clinic. And as for Penny, her tail never stopped wagging the entire time.
Penny is 11 years old and after a day at the vet it was discovered Penny is in CHRONIC RENAL FAILURE plus she has SEVERE PERIODONTAL DISEASE. As for her weight, Penny is only 8 lbs. She is on special food & antibodies. She MUST have a dental ASAP. Penny has a grade IV with tooth mobility. The upper I's & lower canines are extremely loose. She will need multiple extractions and dental cleaning.
Please help us give Sweet Penny the medical care she needs. The blood test and dental are expensive. Only with the help of caring people can we meet her medical needs.
Penny"s blood and also her kidneys will have to be checked every few months to monitor her stability.
UPDATE: 03/23/2008
A DENTAL WAS DONE ON PENNY TODAY. 16 TEETH HAD TO BE EXTRACTED. ONE IMPACTED TOOTH, HAD A CYST, WHICH WENT INTO HER SKULL. PENNY'S BILL WAS OVER $800 AND THAT IS WITH A DISCOUNT. SHE WILL BE ON ANTI-BODIES FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. THIS SHOULD MAKE HER FEEL MUCH BETTER.
