A Tribute in MEMORY of:
GIZZY
Gizzy was our first purebred shih tzu rescue. She was tied in the back yard for several years, with a chain around her neck. If she was lucky a pan of water was brought to her once a week. When Gizzy came to us, she had lost 80% of her hair and was in terrible condition.

Endless "Thanks" goes to her foster mom which became her "Forever Mom", Roberta, Gizzy had a loving home that treated her as a "Princess".  Gizzy became Roberta's loyal and devoted companion. As Roberta would leave for work, Gizzy would be in a chair watching her pull out of the driveway. When Roberta would come home from work, there would be Gizzy, still looking out the window, anxiously awaiting the arrival of her new mother which she adored to the end.
IN MEMORY OF "GIZZY" , oh what a gentle & loving soul
They will not go quietly,
The dogs who’ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
Their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
We hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
A tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
The food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
We miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
And a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
Belongs to them……..
And always will.

Sometimes it helps
Just to know someone cares…..
And we do.
