Bella is an 8 month old female, born probably in late November, found as a stray and we got her from a
friend.
ADOPTION FEE: $150
Has Home Again microchip # 985121006993445,
the new owners will need to call and get a new tag, hers is half chewed off!
She is spayed and UTD on all shots, rabies due in January 2011. Had puppy mange as a 4 month old, all
healed up after three mos. Ivermectin. I have all her health records.
She goes to Beth Coney DVM at Affordavet.
Probably half Ibizan Hound (sp?) as she is the typical color and has the amber eyes. When you see
her, you will see she has beautiful eyes. She is 45 lbs. med/large in size about 23' tall and very long
from shoulder to tail. Long legs and BIG feet.
She is extremely playful and would do well with another dog, but not a small dog, as she is feisty. Also,
no small kids, she loves kids but would knock them down when excited. She plays a little rough with
other puppies, but is intimidated at the dog park by the bigger alpha dogs. Then she hides under the
benches. She loves to fetch a ball and is good at bringing it back and dropping it. She would
probably make a good Frisbee dog if trained.
She is very trainable and will do ANYTHING for a treat. When she is calm, she will sit, down, wait
(instead of stay) and speak. I haven't spent much time teaching her to walk on her leash, but we have
an Easy Walk harness and she does pretty well in that. I don't know if she was ever mistreated as a
puppy, but she cows when reprimanded and gets her feelings hurt easily. I just wonder about her
past.
She has a sweet, sweet loving disposition.
She sleeps in her crate, which goes with her. We also have a Furminator brush and stainless steel
bowls, if needed by new owners.
She is getting much better about not having accidents in the house. She is 90% house trained, but
needs supervision. She will try to tell you she needs to go out by running to the door and then if you
don't take her, she will use the bathroom in front of the door. She is very aware that she is not to go
in the house, and the last accident was my fault. She poops and pees out side if you say "Go pee pee"
and "Go pooh pooh" like, she does it on command on the leash. Her morning routine is to come out of
the crate and go out. She tries to get away with just peeing, but I say "Go pooh pooh," and she'll do it.
Then she get s fed.
She eats IAMS puppy food per the vet. 1 cup at morning and 1 cup at about 6PM.
Bella needs toys or she'll chew up stuff, especially her leash. We've gone through several leashes!
She is beautiful and ha a very hound look when she stands at attention, but she ha a very goofy look
too. I call her "Carol Burnett!"
That's about it for now. thank you SO much, mona
