Bluegrass Shih Tzu Rescue has Tax exempt 501(c)3 status.
All donations are tax deductible. All members are
volunteers and are not paid for their work. Your donations
go to help pay medical bills and buy necessary items for
our beloved Shih Tzu. Most of the time when a dog comes
into rescue they have absolutely nothing, many are matted
so all their hair must be cut off and they need doggie
sweaters, coats or sweat shirts to keep them warm. Most of
our rescues come with no collars or leads, beds, toys or
bowls. Many need special diets to get back to health or
simply to avoid common allergy problems the breed
experiences. All this care is expensive and almost always
exceeds the adoption fee received.
